Penang CVB unveils bigger, better destination planner

Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) has launched the second edition of its Penang Meeting Planners Guide, this time with more than 130 listings of venues, accommodations, restaurants and event suppliers.

The first edition last year contained only 50 listings of convention centres, hotels and unique venues.

At the publication’s launch event last Friday, chief minister of Penang, Lim Guan Eng, said: “I believe this publication will serve as a useful resource to promote and highlight the outstanding values and unique opportunities that Penang’s business events industry has to offer to the world – service, quality and integrity.”

Ashwin Gunasekeran, CEO of PCEB, remarked that it is with the support of the industry that the second edition was able to expand its contents.

“Besides convention centres, hotels and unique venues, we have the participation of boutique accommodations, restaurants and suppliers such as DMCs, PCOs, event planners, exhibition suppliers, incentive organisers and many more,” he said.
