SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Manila has welcomed Agnes Pacis as its new vice president for sales and marketing. Pacis joins with over 29 years of sales and marketing experience in the hospitality industry. She was most recently director of sales and marketing at Sule Shangri-La, Yangon and Shangri-La Residences, Yangon.

Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium is now helmed by Tuncay Bockin who joins as general manager. Bockin was last area general manager for North Vietnam and general manager for Crowne Plaza West Hanoi, Vietnam. The hotel also welcomes Roxanne Markovina as director of sales and marketing. She joins from Andaz Liverpool Street London.

Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok has named Saraid Carey its new executive assistant manager – sales and marketing. Carey has been in the hotel industry for over 12 years. She was last executive assistant manager – sales and marketing of Grand Hyatt Melbourne.

Nongluck Narkman is now director of sales and marketing at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit. She has over 20 years of experience in both sales & marketing and conventions & catering fields, and has worked for brands such as Shangri-La, Conrad and Sheraton.

Jerome van Helden has taken the reins at The Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam. He replaces Peter Feran, who moves to Radisson Blu Bangkok, as general manager. Most recently general manager at Hotel Aryaduta, Makassar in Indonesia, van Helden has 12 years of hospitality experience.

FRHI Hotels & Resorts has promoted George Wee to regional vice president, in addition to his role as general manager, Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai. His focus will now grow and include increased responsibility for all the other operating Fairmont properties in China, and he will work closely with each hotel’s leadership teams on the development of strategic business practices.

Bryan Chiu has moved from his position as executive assistant manager at InterContinental Hong Kong to executive director of events. Chiu replaces Charis Yim.

Danny Tse of InterContinental Hong Kong has been promoted to executive assistant manager from executive assistant manager – rooms. In his new role, he will be overseeing a wide range of hotel operations and departments, working closely with managing director Jean-Jacques Reibel. Tse joined the hotel in 2005 after spending almost two years at Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai.

Debanjan Kundu has joined The Ritz-Carlton Bangalore, India as director of sales and marketing. He was last director of sales and marketing at Sheraton Bangalore.

Sylvain Pasdeloup has ascended the ranks to become general manager at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua. He has been with the resort since it opened and was most recently its hotel manager.
