Taiwan is boosting its business events sector competitiveness through an expanded professional certification drive.
Led by national Meet Taiwan, the 2026 Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) programme concluded its four-day training across two weekends: July 25 to 26 and August 1 to 2.
Since 2012, Meet Taiwan has promoted global standards like the CMP and Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) credentials. This year’s session drew a diverse group of event planners, destination managers, city officials, and university staff.
Participation also expanded into key tech sectors. As Taiwan’s semiconductor industry grows globally, teams from the Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute – including organisers of the Taiwan-Europe Chip Innovation Forum – joined the programme to sharpen their international conference execution skills.
