The Australian Business Events Association (ABEA) has appointed Melissa Brown as its inaugural CEO, a role that she will assume on September 4, 2023.
Brown’s has been stationed in the UK, US, and Hong Kong, working with organisations such as Telstra and Talent International. She played a pivotal role in managing the Australian Chamber of Commerce in London, where she built a significant associate membership and advocacy programme.
She then returned to Australia to contribute to cyber security start-up, Sapien Cyber.
The Board identified Melissa’s passion for building teams and her proven track record in managing diverse stakeholders as key attributes that will enable her to be a champion for the varied organisations and interests that form the business events industry.
