The World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) has revealed that it will be embarking on a three billion Philippine pesos (US$49.7 million) expansion project.

The investment will nearly double the venue’s indoor footprint to 20,000m2, while preserving 7,000m2 of outdoor space for flexible activations. The upgrade is a direct response to a surging demand from local and international organisers whose rapidly growing events have outgrown current venue limits.

The revamped facility will feature advanced multi-hall configurations and seamless indoor-outdoor integration to accommodate highly complex event structures.

“This expansion is an investment in the future of the Philippine exhibitions and events industry,” said Pamela D. Pascual, chairman and CEO of WTCMM. “It reflects our confidence in the market, our commitment to helping our partners scale, and our determination to ensure that the Philippines remains competitive in attracting major regional and international events.”

Slated to open in 2028, WTCMM will begin accepting advance bookings immediately to allow global organisers to lock down prime dates for their events.
