ABEA is committed to supporting emerging leaders

Australia’s business events industry will receive a leadership boost through a new scholarship programme backed by the Australian Business Events Association (ABEA) and Business Events Australia, with 30 emerging professionals selected for leadership development in 2026.

The 2026 Leadership Development for Emerging Leaders Program, delivered in partnership with Leading Well and Turnkey Event Solutions, will provide 30 sponsored scholarships to ABEA members and business events professionals.

ABEA is committed to supporting emerging leaders

Supported by Business Events Australia, the programme combines face-to-face workshops, one-on-one coaching and leadership modules covering mindset, communication, relationship building, well-being and systemic leadership. It will be delivered in Sydney and Adelaide, with each intake limited to 15 participants.

The programme will be led by Leading Well executive coach Dan Londero and cover leadership performance, communication, feedback and navigating complex workplaces. Participants will also receive individual coaching and be recognised at the ABEA Conference & Awards in December 2026.

The initiative complements Business Events Australia’s broader industry development efforts, including its sponsorship of the Future Leaders Award in the Australian Business Events Awards.

Applications are now open. The programme will run in Sydney on August 18 to 19, 2026, and Adelaide on November 30 to December 1, 2026.
