BCD revamps Tripsource platform and upgrades traveller interface

BCD Travel has unveiled the next generation of its Tripsource travel and expense platform, introducing an open, AI-powered ecosystem alongside a redesigned traveller experience.

Built on an “Open by Design” architecture, the updated platform moves beyond traditional corporate travel models to integrate travel content, expense data, profile information, and third-party technologies into a unified global system.

The platform features an AI Analyst using natural language processing to accelerate decision-making, access to the BCD Marketplace with over 70 integrated technology partners, and a single global configuration layer to govern policies across all booking and servicing touchpoints.

“With this launch, BCD is bringing the industry something it hasn’t seen before – a connected and intelligent travel ecosystem for customers, one where they are no longer constrained by closed systems, fragmented data or isolated technologies,” said Stephan Baars, CEO of BCD.

Alongside the underlying architecture, BCD has relaunched the Tripsource mobile app and web interface to deliver a modernised traveller experience across 11 languages and more than 170 markets. The refreshed user interface focuses on driving traveller adoption, improving compliance, and reducing effort for travellers and arrangers.

Key enhancements to the traveller-facing experience include expanded self-service capabilities, enhanced transparency around travel costs and sustainability impacts, dynamic hotel rate guidance, and streamlined search and booking tools across air, hotel, car, and rail options.
