Business Events Adelaide has appointed two new in-market international contractors to grow Adelaide’s global reach.
Frances Iacono has joined the team as associate director of partnerships, North America, located in New York City, while London-based Amanda Pelvay will step into the role of associate director of partnerships, UK and Europe.

Iacono is a destination marketing specialist and conference professional who has spent more than 20 years delivering conferences, corporate events and strategic business events across Australia. She is based in North America.
Meanwhile, Pelvay has more than 12 years’ experience driving conferences, incentive travel and business events across the UK, Europe and North America. She joins Business Events Adelaide from the Pan-Pacific Hotel in London.
These appointments complement existing resources in Australia and Asia, enabling the organisation to establish and build in-person relationships across four continents.
These appointments come as Business Events Adelaide also strengthens its global alliances by entering into a partnership agreement with the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).
This partnership, one of only 12 globally, gives Business Events Adelaide exclusive access to a network of association leads, market intelligence and a stronger platform from which to bid for and win high-value international events. It also raises Adelaide’s profile among the association and agency decision-makers who determine where major international congresses are held, reinforcing the city’s position as a credible contender on the world stage.
