PHITEX 2026 returns with expanded B2B line-up and experiential focus

PHITEX 2025

The Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX), an annual travel trade event organised by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), returns next week from September 7 to 14 with enhanced features.

This year’s theme, Connecting Markets, Creating Opportunities: From Conversation to Collaboration Through Sustainable Tourism Partnership, stresses the necessity of multi-sectoral cooperation to level up Philippine tourism.

Its first day will be anchored by MICECONversations at Conrad Manila – a dedicated business events conference featuring speakers who will tackle industry challenges and share solutions for steering the sector towards a dynamic future.

Following this, PHITEX B2B will be held at the SMX Convention Center Manila. The event will host 70 international buyers and over 100 sellers, up from last year’s 63 buyers across 20 countries and 90 sellers, according to TPB’s chief operating officer Margarita Nograles.

She told TTGmice that a rigorous vetting process ensured the buyers are the best fit for Philippine offerings, and that local sellers can fulfil what international buyers are seeking.

Because buyers are increasingly looking for experiential packages, the pre- and post-tours are designed to immerse and connect them with destinations through thoughtfully planned activities and programmes.
