The redesign updates the industrial warehouse space while preserving its original heritage details. Key upgrades include a redesigned central feature bar and integrated architectural lighting to enhance venue customisation for corporate events, gala dinners, and weddings.

Speaking at the event, chief commercial officer Katie Tinetti noted that the project marks the beginning of a multi-stage investment in the group’s South Wharf footprint, with a second phase of development scheduled for 2027. The showcase also provided previews of planned updates to neighbouring venue Cargo Hall and showcased the company’s third riverfront site, Aerial.

Alongside the structural updates, head of culinary Karl Edmonds introduced a refreshed F&B direction aimed at meeting growing demand for interactive, hyper-personalised event dining.

The refurbishment is part of a broader expansion across Showtime Event Group’s venue portfolio, which includes various Melbourne locations such as Melbourne Town Hall, Rippon Lea Estate, and Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium.
