Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium is set to undergo its largest renovation in 23 years following a major infrastructure commitment from Queensland premier David Crisafulli.

The announcement was welcomed by venue operator Legends Global, which confirmed today it has commenced discussions with Stadiums Queensland to provide its operator perspective on the initiatives. Harvey Lister, Legends Global president and chief executive for Asia Pacific and Middle East, also confirmed the company’s interest to co-invest alongside the Queensland Government to meet the venue’s high demand.

As the world’s largest stadium operator, managing 38 venues of equal or greater size, Legends Global plans to pitch unique innovation concepts that could increase the venue’s capacity beyond current government plans.

Management aims to execute the large-scale upgrades without heavily disrupting Suncorp Stadium’s schedule. The rectangular venue serves as the home ground for the Brisbane Broncos, Dolphins, Queensland Reds, and Brisbane Roar.

Before Christmas, the stadium is scheduled to host a State of Origin decider, a Wallabies vs. France rugby test, matches for the 2026 Rugby League World Cup, and major concerts by Post Malone, the Foo Fighters, Robbie Williams, and Guns N’ Roses.
