More than 1,000 global delegates are gathering today in Bangkok for the opening of IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2026, a three-day trade event focusing on the region’s business events and corporate travel sectors.
The annual conference brings together buyers, media, and suppliers to explore industry trends, safety protocols, and commercial solutions.
The educational lineup opens with a keynote address by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau’s president Suparwan Teerarat on the long-term economic value of face-to-face corporate gatherings. Risk management takes center stage in a dedicated session led by the Global Business Travel Association, which addresses duty-of-care strategies to help organisations safeguard business travellers during sudden operational disruptions.
Additionally, the International Congress and Convention Association is partnering with Local Alike to host a traditional Thai Jasmine Garland Workshop, where attendee-crafted garlands will be returned to local community members to generate supplementary income.
On the exhibition floor, prominent regional bodies –including Business Events Australia, the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute of Macao SAR, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, and Gevme – are showcasing their latest event infrastructure and service offerings.
Interactive showcases feature local cultural and culinary highlights, including wellness demonstrations by Pattaya-Chonburi MICE City and culinary delights at the Hong Kong Pavilion. Formal networking luncheons and evening functions hosted by Goyang Convention and Exhibition Bureau, Blue Elephant, and the Hong Kong Tourism Board round out the schedule.
