The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS), becoming the first convention centre in South-east Asia to secure the international standard.
Assessed by BSI Group (Thailand) Co., the certification covers QSNCC’s core IT infrastructure, including its data centre, identity and access management systems, and wired and wireless customer network services. The standard evaluates information security across three core principles: confidentiality, integrity, and system availability.
The upgraded security protocols come ahead of the venue hosting the 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings from October 12 to 18, 2026.
“Information security is not simply about preventing data breaches. It also means maintaining data integrity and ensuring that systems and services remain continuously available,” said Surapol Utintu, CEO of QSNCC. “Receiving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is part of building a strong IT foundation, ensuring that QSNCC’s systems and services are secure and ready to serve international events and large organisations.”
The new credential adds to QSNCC’s existing portfolio of international certifications, which includes ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 22000 (Food Safety), ISO 20121 (Sustainable Event Management), and ISO 14064-1 (Carbon Footprint for Organization).
